Philosophy and sustainability

We ensure that we exclusively import coffee directly from the producers. These producers are organised in socially acceptable, democratic structures that allow the coffee farmer as producer to have a say in the sale of his own production and to be able to secure a family income. In addition, we make sure that the cultivation is ecologically sustainable.

This can be seen in the form of avoiding chemical additives and in the focus on mixed cultivation. It means that coffee is not grown alone, but in combination with other crops. This benefits not only the soil, which is not polluted in favour of one product, and the plants, which can thrive in each other's shade, but also the farmers, who can use the food for self-sufficiency or to expand their.

Of course, there is also enough room for wild flora and fauna in a sustainable coffee culture.

With the choice of our packaging, we have taken the matter further and avoided explicitly polluting materials. Our packaging is compostable once the band, valve and cap have been removed. The colouring on the packaging is water-based and therefore solvent-free and environmentally friendly. If there is no compost available, it can also be recycled as waste paper.
